Music Notes Week 13

Wow!  Your children worked so hard yesterday at choir practise.  They should be proud of themselves.  Yesterday we sent home a notice with important dates and information about a contest for Blazer tickets (yes we still have some available). Tickets can be purchased on Tuesdays during choir practise from Jacquie. Below is the notice that we sent home yesterday.

Important Dates and Information

As we commence the second part of choir we have some important events coming up in the next couple of months.

Additionally, we still have some Blazer game vouchers available.  These are one of the few fundraisers for our choir to help with everything running smoothly.
We still have many tickets available.  The student who sells the most by Feb 10 will earn a prize.

Music Notes Week 11

What a great start to the new year!  The children received new music yesterday and Ms. Alpaugh has posted new Youtube videos on the blog.  For the Youtube videos to work you will need to view them on a computer (tablets and smartphones don't support Flashplayer which is necessary for them to work).  It's one of those small glitches that we haven't yet worked out in the technology world yet.

Next time you are in the Henry Grube Centre, there are a few new pictures up from the Winter concerts for all to see.  They can be found on the bulletin board across from the washrooms.

As the colds and flus circulate around, we recognize that your child is not always in the best health to be at choir.  If you could please send Jacquie an email at jstrom@sd73.bc.ca to let us know that would be wonderful - thank you!

A few new dates for your calendar: - times to be confirmed later

Saturday February 14 - Craft Day in the morning

Thursday February 26 - Kamloops Festival of the Performing Arts in the evening

Sunday March 1 - KTCC sharing at Kamloops United Church in the morning service

Sunday 11 January 2015

Serious Options (Ms Alpaugh, Mrs. Froese and Mrs. Gauley's choir) is having a concert next weekend!
Many families mentioned they would like details on our upcoming concert after the December concert so he's the poster.

**If anyone speaks another language and is willing to help us with the opening of our concert by reciting a poem ("The Fog- Carl Sandburg) they will receive a complimentary ticket to our concert! Please let Ms. Alpaugh know ASAP (jalpaugh@sd73.bc.ca) if you or someone you know is interested. There will be a quick rehearsal at 1pm at St. Andrews on 6th ave, Saturday Jan 17 for poem participants. **

We hope to see you there!

CHOIR CANCELLED

Hello families!

I hope you have enjoyed the snow day today and you are creating some memories together today.  After some discussion we have decided to ensure the safety of everyone that we will be cancelling choir tomorrow afternoon.  This is for both KTHC and KTCC.

Please share this information with any choir families  you know.

While we wait for the snow to stop if you could please have your child listen to (find it on the blog under the Youtube link) and begin studying: You'll never guess what I saw, Peter Piper and Goodnight.

We will see you all January 13!
